Our Historical roots, Established by Mr. Carpentier Alting in 1933, our Law Firm is one of the oldest in Indonesia. Mr. Noto Soebagio joined the firm later, followed by Mr. Oei Tat Hway in 1957. After the Dutch partners left Indonesia and following the death of Mr. Noto Soebagio, Mr. Oei Tat Hway became the sole partner. In 1975, Mr. George Widjojo, the eldest son of Mr. Oei Tat Hway, joined the firm. He was the closest assistant to Mr. Oei Tat Hway. Since the retirement of Mr. Oei Tat Hway in 1990, Mr. George Widjojo replaced his position as senior partner. In early 1999, the firm officially changed its name to George Widjojo & Partners.
